The walking tradie..
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m Luke “the walking tradie” and this is a quick read about me and the last 5 years journey.
THE WALKING TRADIE TURNS 5 !!! AND CAN NOW DRIVE !!!
After stepping aside from my previous roles in senior management of various large plumbing companies due to a head injury that left me unable to drive, suffering seizures and some behavioural changes. I was told to lead a less stressful existence - I returned to my roots and got back on the tools.
It started with commencing a Certificate 3 in Floristry, which evolved into studying garden design and horticulture whilst being able to return to my plumbing roots. My love of working with my hands and building things whilst in the garden has allowed me to take on completion of me trade certificate in Landscape Construction.
So there i was….with a fully equipped push cart of tools, 20 yrs of plumbing knowledge and experience, many years tinkering in the shed, boatshed and garden with a desire to bring customer service back to the trades.
Walking and working within a 5K radius from my home in Redfern and workshop in Erskineville. Flyers are hand delivered by locals and my main stream of incoming work is from repeat customers, word of mouth referrals and people I have crossed paths with in our local streets.
Working to the K.I.S.S principle in both my life and my work, I strive for customer satisfaction - great customer experience, works completed to a high professional standard, all at a fair price.
Things went well and now with the ability to drive, taking on bigger projects and employing a local specialist team of trades, it seems there is nothing that can’t be achieved with some creativity and thinking outside the box.
